February

It's almost February...

So how do you pronounce it?

There are a couple of things that make this word a little tricky:

1. In American English, most people say: "feb-yoo-erry"

(We don't pronounce the first 'r')

Most British people say: "feb-roo-erry"

(So if you learned British English, you may have learned to say it this way.)

2. The stressed syllable "feb" needs to be stretched

so that it doesn't sound like "fep":

fe→byou air ee
